We started the day with breakfast at the Original Pancake House. It is an iconic restaurant here in Portland. We waited 45 minutes to get seated and they don't take reservations. My wife always forgets how busy this place is and I didn't feel like arguing with her about going there today, Sunday, when the wait is the longest. I ate too many delicious Latkes, which were thin and very crispy and which I smothered in sour cream.
When we got home my daughter, her husband and I had plans to do a bunch of yard work. I started by mowing the back yard, avoiding most of the mole hills and then began trimming and raking up debris out front. I got stung by a ground wasp on the side of my head while I was trimming some ivy which didn't feel good. Altogether, we worked several hours. I took a hot shower to wash off the dirt. I feel great now, but tired.
This was my lazy Sunday, not exactly as physically taxing as a run, but better than sitting on my ass all day.
