I was also born in Zim, grew up there, my oldman was one of the farmers that lost his farm, in 2003. He had a tobacco farm, had about 200 families working for him, the average african families would have at least 3-5 kids, that's about 1000-1200 relying on him for income. Had a school, clinic etc on the farm. The farm used to gross about US$1 000 000 in total revenue, which was a valuable source of foreign currency for zim.
They booted my Dad off the farm, was given 24 hours to move, and they resettled 32 families on the farm, who had no capital to start farming. They cut down all the trees to sell as firewood, took all the roofing off all the sheds etc. They also chased off all the workers that lived and worked on the farm.
At the moment there is an appeal in the EU for all the whites from South Africa and Zim to be allowed to return to europe, where there ancestors originate from, especially cause of the way they treated in Africa at the moment.
