I personally don't hate Cain, I think he is a helluva fighter.

At the same time I would like to see a little more parity in the heavyweight division.

Just seen that Cain is a 4/1 favorite so Werdum certainly has his work cut out for him.

Isn't he the best heavyweight we've seen since, well, forever?

He has looked almost bullet proof over the past 3 or 4 years.

Yeah, aside from the JDS KO (fluke, if you ask me), guy seems unstoppable. Who would you say is UFC's all-time pound-for-pound best: Jones, GSP, Cain, Anderson, Aldo ...?

Curious.

Without a doubt I would say Jose Aldo.

I have been completely sold on that guy from the time he fought Urijah Faber a few years ago.

Yes, Aldo is something else for sure. Do you think Conor has a shot?

You wonder how motivated a guy like Aldo can be after winning a decade of fights in a row but I don't think there is any doubt he will be extremely ready for this one after the buildup, Conor's shenanigans etc etc

It would surprise me to see Conor pull it off but I think he can do it. He has such an unconventional style that we have never seen Aldo fight against so it certainly is possible. Aldo is still young and has a ton of big fight experience working in his favor.

I'll be rooting for Conor in that one as well. I've always been kind of a sucker for the underdog(unless they are going against my favorite team/fighters)  8)

Kind of where I am. Aldo is emotionally invested now, so he's definitely not calling this one in. And Conor is just as you say: effectively unconventional. Reminds me of Anderson that way - shit comes from anywhere and everywhere.

I'm pulling for him, too. I do think he's in over his head with Aldo, but I'd love to see him prove me wrong.

It's crazy to think Aldo is only 28 years old!

Generally a fighter with his type of legendary status and fight history would be pretty well into his 30's.

Yes, that's crazy. Didn't know that, honestly. Dude looks mid- to late-forties, no?
