No, never tore a bicep. The only real injury that I've had was a partially torn pec 13 years ago. But I was back training after week. I trained today using DB's and Swiss bar. A little discomfort but have full ROM.
Coach, what motivates you to still go for heavy poundages? Surely you're at the age now where volume:hypertrophy is not such a good return as when you were say in your 20s-early 40s...
If it's the buzz from heavy lifting, then I can totally understand - but even I had to really keep away from my own ego games before I was even 30, I could literally feel my joints and tendons hugging eachother goodbye everytime I went for a PB lol

I just wonder, say when you are in your late 60's (I know you will still be training) you will really regret pushing big numbers now, for little returns
