From ages 16-31 I never drank, never did rec drugs, never partied. Nothing but rest and training and eating healthy. The past two years have been great and I look practically the same and still scary strong. I still train 5-6days a week but I have the few beers every weekend or 2nd weekend, I have relaxed on the healthy eating strictness and im a happier person

The primary difference is the guys from the ironage didn't have the access to the fans they have today. You couldn't send something out and get instant feedback. We love the access, 99% of the time, but it really humanizes the guys we previously had on a pedestal. Like getting older and realizing your parents aren't infallible.

Mentzer would have been great on Facebook. Can you imagine the long-winded rants he would have given us?

In the gym on a saturday night, wow.......Working almost to failure to maintain that glazed doughnut look, injecting more 'slin than a battalion of diabetics, more 'roids than any burns unit, that is where the meaning lies truly. Defying the Everest or setting a foot on the moon, none of this can compare to the physical and metaphysical implications of oiling up, putting on a thong and posing for ecstatic schmoes.
