Read my post above. Molesters find very sneaky ways to molest children, while appearing like they are not doing anything wrong. But remember, its the INTENTION behind it. You bet the guy was getting turned on and probably pleasing himself later on to thoughts of what he did. So while the action itself may not be worthy of 20 years, its the INTENTION behind the action. Think of it like that--then 20 years might not seem too long.
Agreed. But not all "molestations" are the same. There was this dude who was in the house band at the bar I drank myself 1/2 to death in. I didn't know him, but I saw him at the bar all the time. Anyway, we was a pretty boy loser who was a school security guard at a local middle school. He was caught giving titty twisters to 3 middle school girls (I'm guessing 12 years old). They hammered him with like 20 years in prison. I'm sure he deserves every day of that. But that still doesn't rise to the level of what a lot of these pedo's do.
I have to think about this - do we punish people based on their intentions or their acts?
