Well, looks like you got Skip's attention.  He wants me to let everyone know that regardless of what anyone says, that he's always followed his own path and that the end results speak for themselves and now he's moved on to other things.  This episode is a great piece and I think you guys should listen to it

Skip's 53 years old guys......trying to stay big forever in the face of aging will send you to the grave fast.  He's one of the people in the industry that I respect and look up to because he's willing to spread the knowledge.

Why would a natty who try's to stay big go to an early grave? What is so dangerous about lifting weights?

Shooting suspension at night isn't clean
But you will pass drug tests
For example

In my opinion I think the bodybuilders who alway cry about drug tests are the ones who are proud they can pass drug test despite using PEDs. This is a sense of accomplishment for the individual as part of their bodybuilding journey is to pass drug tests and participate in natural bodybuilding. It is just their path, often they feel like more of an athlete to be admired. Quite often the path of natural bodybuilding can be selected due to perceived societal, family and (potential) relationship reactions. A hard training bodybuilder wants to be the best they can be regardless of the fact.

Bodybuilding contest prep, whether natty or not, is unhealthy in itself.  You of all people should know that.  You lift heavy and hard too long and you end up up like Ronnie with torn shoulders and knee injuries.  As we age, our blood pressure naturally goes up so you have to factor that in as well.

Is this why you have held back over the years, or is it to do with the fact that you are a lazy, retarded troglodyte?

Exercise has been shown to lower BP and lifting "heavy" is not going to kill you. What else about natty contest prep is unhealthy? Eating a contest diet is not unhealthy in itself. Please explain to me in detail what he was doing that would have killed him.

I remember his advice on how to be a man. It was something like don't respond quickly when someone speaks to you so you let them know you're in command. I call it being a rude asshole.

He is not a drug user. He just stopped using whey protein and creatine.  ::)

I should be giving him life advice instead of him trying to sell me his.

You obviously have no idea how taxing Vince's strict semen slurping contest diet is.

Complete bullshit. If anything, contest prepping as a natural would probably extend life (starvation is basically the only intervention shown to extend lifespan). You get low blood pressure as a matter of fact as you get lighter, you get low GH and IGF-1, low insulin, lower testosterone, lower cholesterol, get lots of cardio in etc.

OTOH, the so-called diets you did for your shows were most likely unhealthy as it always looked like you dieted on pizza. You were never even under 18% bodyfat on contest day, and I'm not exaggerating in the least - you never even had abs. You know absolutely nothing about nothing relating to exercise and bodybuilding, whether natural or enhanced.

Skip was always juiced, natural muscle doesn't go anywhere unless you completely stop training and eating. Has Skip stopped training altogether?

BTW, when you say you "spoke" with Skip, don't you mean you emailed him? Or did you actually speak to the guy?

Every time someone posts a picture of someone in the fitness industry, you always state that you just talked to them last week. What a coincidence. Practically every single time. ::) ::)

Yep noticed that too  :D

Love how the so called natural shrink down so badly. We know the heavy juicers will shink down to shit, but a true natural should retain a good amount of his size as long as her trains regular.

Yes. Should be embarrassingly obvious, but few will take note.

"Fewer cals, less protein, less frequent/lighter training ..." Good enough for the masses. And Vince, it seems.

He is still in shape...
But that's beside the point , there's actually more to life than muscles , what if he's taking a month off or two months...
Bodybuilding fcsns are a peculiar set ,  they cannot wait to see a professional retired or not training so they can post and laugh about it.

You believe a natural should shrink that much from just a little time off?

The sad / hilarious thing is that Melvin Goodrum actually, truly honest to God, believes that he's 'in the industry' & an 'insider'.

Apparently, having a $99.99 cookie cutter template website that makes virtually no income qualifies you to be 'in the industry'.

Everyone knows that Melvin Goodrum is in the stocking shelves at the Piggly Wiggly industry.

Spill in aisle 12 Melvin.

Just couldn't fit in 4 hours daily in the gym because of time commitments.
You forgot his AST training method when he was at his peak, was training 4 days a week for only 45 minutes.

You aren't kidding... When I was ~260, my bp was routinely about 145/85.  Even at 195, it was usually about 135-140/80.  High blood pressure runs in my family.

Since 'fasting' and getting down to 165 or so my bp has been through the floor... 120/70 after a morning leg session.  On a day when I didn't lift, 90/60 :o !!

Pulse has been rick bottom as well... 40 BPM last time I measured.  My life expectancy might be 'looking up', indeed...

But what kind of life is this?  That's the question...

Be careful that your blood pressure isn't too low. This can be as big a problem as it being too high.

I did.

But I also always felt a slight unease about Skip. He preached natural which was one thing, but he also preached the words of people who are big on integrity like Tony Robbins.

So, I wondered how does he lie to himself and justify lying to all these kids about being natural and attaining his physique just through dedication. I can only presume there is a part of him he tries to block out but it's eaten away his core.

Of course he hormonised but some of the dweebs on Getbig who say "it's all drugs" just because a guy shrinks a bit tells me that they never had much muscle in the first place, or are children still living at home.

You drop the competitive aspirations and you are going to lose some muscle, gear or no gear.  Or you fool yourself that you hold the muscle by becoming a permabulker.
