To Cara, Steve, or Romano from MD

Cara from MD got all over us a few months ago.  She swore up and down that MD never photoshops athletes to make them look bigger on the covers.  She even told some of us that we were very very wrong.

Now some of the new covers... the guys just look way bigger than they do onstage. 

Was Cara lying to us, or are we, the fans and members or getbig, wrong?

As far as I'm concerned, Cara is lying.

I don't trust her or Steven.
So far all they've given us here are lies and propoganda.

She'll make quick post, then duck out for a few weeks, then when a new issue of MD is about to hit the shelves she strikes again like clockwork.

We called BS on those Lee and Gustavo covers, and she bashed us.
Cara said: "You are wrong. MD has never, and will never, photoshop magazine covers"
However the cover with lee, compared to the pic of lee onstage, showed something was definintely up.  I don't care if they photoshop... but for Cara to call us wrong...

I did a quick search-- these members called photoshop;;;
Rudee, Groink, bigdumbbell, Adam Empire, Cool Black Clyde, garraeth, zugzwang, sarcasm, MUVIRSE, DOUBLE XL, Stavios, IFBBwannaB, DEFCON, Karl Kox, Big Lee, BayGBM...

After that, my eyes got tired. But if you look at the posts by Cara and Steve, every one is followed by 3 pages of people calling photoshop, and a few denials by Cara.

I've been an expert at photoshop for several years and spent 2 years studying computer art in school.

IF they do photoshop the people then it's simply small changes to edit out blotches on the skin or acne. It would take someone very good at photoshop to make the people look larger to the point it's not debatable. If they were photoshoped it would be obvious,It isn't since you're all debating it.

I've seen the photoshoped Icons and backgrounds in Flex and M&D and quite frankly they suck. IF the same person doing the rest of the photoshoping in the magazine actually tried to photoshop the bodybuilders,It would be obvious.


In reality the only difference is lighting and proportion. The Photographers are experts and know what they're doing. They know how to take pictures with perfect lighting to make them look biggest. On stage the lighting varies and that's why they look different in size.

Lighting can add 30lbs or take away 30lbs.

And I have nothing against them doing it.  It's just when someone from the staff makes a statement that it's not done, it kinda insults our intelligence.  Like when Gustavo says he's all natural.  We don't care if it's done... just don't tell us lies.  Anyway, MD is the best mag around, don't get me wrong.  

I just wish Cara would call my boy DIV back.

They 'shopped a photo of Shawn to add ~30 pounds to his physique + showed it right next to the original.

It was a very good 'shop, as Shawn DID look better!

Classic example ,IFBB Worlds about 9-10 years ago , this guy is helped out to the weigh in and weighs in at 79 kg just making the middle weight class, he looks F@#ked can hardly stand !!
Turns up 2 days later for the show weighing 87 kg , looks incredable , huge ripped ,hard , wins show !!!
Thats a 17lb plus gain !!
