I'm sure there are tons of jokes in there but I'm referring to the illusion of looking 250 when you're really 230 or looking 230 when you're 210? Now people are 250 and look 250 and look like shit. The physiques haven't gotten any better.

That illusion that's now lost played a bigger role than most thought.

The fans are partially responsible for wanting bigger and bigger bodybuilders. They want it, that is what the IFBB gives them.

Most bodybuilders these days dont look as heavy as they are, in the past you couldn't believe they weighed so little.

Same with most of today's generation... looking for instant gratification over hard work and dedication. Too many people refusing to put their nose to the grindstone when push comes to shove. It is more akin to a freak show than a proper stage performance.

Then in 10 years we will see posts from people saying "remember in 2015, when guys were steamlined, man they had good shapes"...

Even the bodies you speak of were not appreciated in their times, they were critisized for being "too much"

But funny how 10 years later, people seem to find them good.

The best NPC and Pro bodybuilders have always been around average height. Between the 5'8-5'11 range. bodybuilding has never been a "sport" for a tall person. Have there been successes? Yes, Arnold, Lou and a handful of others. So this notion of having a tall Mr. O is a pipe dream.

You aren't wrong, it seems like a lot of tall guys just dont have good insertions either which compounds the issues of long limbs. Still though, if you are legitemately tall and have even just enough muscle to fill out your frame you'll look a lot bigger than someone whos short and jacked outside of competitions. Irrelevant when it comes to bodybuilding but just saying in day to day life.

I don't think you got the joke. Anyway, no I have no issues with tall people. But when it comes to bodybuilding, tall guys fans are always tall guys this and that and we haven't seen anything from tall guys. Cedric McMillan is good and has a chance and he's 6'1 outside of that, it's never been something that's been true. Big Shawn Allen tried to talk that tall guy shit at the Olympia expo back in 99 or 00 and look how long it took him to become a pro and look what he's done since then. Tall guys would have a better chance if there were less reliance on drugs because they'll never be able to fill out their physiques the way an average height bodybuilder can.

Yeah I got it I just made a crap joke in a rush that doesn't actually make any sense.

The part that indicates the issue is your assumption that they believe they look 1. Alpha and 2. More so than they actually are.

But I'm in total agreement about the arms. I'm well aware of the fact that mine are totally underwhelming due to their length. It's crap.
