Yes, wife left him recently apparently due to him having an affair. Feel for his kids, terrible.

I'm not sure about that. If you look at only the last 10 years of strongman, we've seen the deaths of two Top 5 WSM competitors.

I heard about this earlier this morning. I've never had personal interaction with Chris, but I listened to him on Gear'd Up and he always seemed like a really nice guy who had nothing but good things to say about others.
He posted on PBB and then disappeared, I figured he retired from bodybuilding and started focusing more on the family life. From what I understand it was suicide, at least that's what McVey is hinting at.
RIP, Chris. Wish things ended differently for you

Sure it was. People who use that amount of steroids for so long are not mentally stable to begin with and those drugs just enhance all of those underlying issues.
