I've said it once and I'll say it again ... wasted potential. Some of the best genetics to ever grace a bodybuilding stage :/

Top 2 1993
He scrunches up his back in that pic. Which makes his lats look less impressive. Also, if you look at 1993 vid, his back is wider when just standing--his back facing the audience, than when he does a Lat spread.
And compare that to 99, his lat width and the way he hits the lat spread is better.

Also, he scrunches up his shoulders when doing the hand clasp MM pose.

he had the width but no thickness , separation or details in his back it was undersized and underdeveloped compared to the rest of his enormous physique. It's not just a matter of properly hitting the pose.

In this shot you can see he's not yet hitting the back double biceps pose or scrunching his back into nothing and it's lacking everywhere , well I shouldn't say everywhere , his upper traps are thick and developed and separated

That as well. Not posing and not training his back. Also, he needed more chest thickness. It practically disappeared when he did a FDB pose.

Guy's response to gear is astounding. Paul's workouts were about as sophisticated and intense as your average middle-age-gym-going moms's.

dillett also won the '99 NOC. By then he looked pretty bad IMO, his chest was a big liability by that point.

In 1993 Paul had a hard time flexing his right lat.

I heard that had something to do with his shoulder injury. Hard to hit a RLS. Still doesn't explain everything.

Wow.  Cool to see Dillett posing next to a 27-year-old Markus Ruhl.

Is this Ronnie next to him? Makes him looks small but his back detail was just not there.

Huge mulatto of peace!

Standing relaxed he could be Mr. O.  Lost a lot when he posed.

One of the laziest trainers I've ever seen.
