If I was surrounded by goblins all day, that little poodle-shooter wouldn't do much for my safety-meter.

That's just my backup piece.  I keep it in my butt crack.  My regular carry piece is a 41.   :)

Ah yes, the venerable .41 Mag. Not many people carry around that blunderbuss any more since ammo is virtually non-existent. You must be quite the handgun aficionado.

 ::)

And that pic of the .25 you posted seems to be all over the Internet, so I am back to calling bullshit on you being a gun owner.

You're correct, I am quite the handgun aficionado.  Not really sure why you call bullshit on me.  I already told you.  I've got enough guns to arm my entire neighborhood.   ???

It's partially justified and partially just the John Moses Browning bigotry of gun owners. The 1911 is big, relatively heavy "single stack" (read: holds less ammo) that shoots a big bullet. It's quintessentially American: overweight, made of solid steel, with a small number of haymakers.

That said, the shootability of the platform is great. The barrel axis (how low the barrel sits in relation to your wrist) is very low and that makes for much more controllable recoil. Only the Glock comes close these days.

It's not a beginner's gun, as there are a lot of controls on it that beginners can forget. I shot a comp with mine and forgot to disengage the manual safety out of the holster. Cost me more than a second. I wasn't gonna win anyway, but that was embarrassing.
I have big hands. 8)

If you come into my house, or want to work in my place of business, I can tell you how I want you to dress, words I want and don't want you to use, what kind of haircut you have, what you can bring or not bring....

Ever see a sign on some restaurants that say, "No shirt not service"?
Or those fancy restaurants that require a coat and tie?

UFC requires that their fighters wear Reebok gear and only Reebok gear.

All perfectly legal.

You don't seem to understand what the Constitution and the Bill of Rights applies to.

I'm constantly amazed by how casually people give up their rights.  Offer up any nonsense reason along with a paycheck and a hamburger and they'll sign them away without a second thought.  What's allowed in your pockets.  Give us your urine when we tell you to.  Who'd take a job where they stipulate the clothes you are to wear ffs?  The streets may be paved with gold but are littered with discarded dignity.

I don't really pay attention to those signs. I always carry in the theaters, even though they have a "strict" ( ::)) no weapons policy. My family will be protected.

I don't think it's any more inherently accurate than other handgun rounds. Cheap, plentiful and in a dazzling array of bullet selections as well as bespoke pressures is what truly sets it apart. Modern self-defense bullets are amazing things.

My 9mm is much more accurate than my 6.35mm.  And yes, modern defense bullets are quite astounding.   :D

A fine concealed weapon   ::)

Weighs a ton, is the size of a VW Microbus and has a whopping 6-shot capacity, each with the approximate stopping power of a 10mm.
