I don't get it why it's so hard, but I don't know your specific situation. When I have multiple short breaks, I put the oats & whey servings in multiple beakers with a lid and have one shaker.
Unnecessary? Well, that just depends on how nutrition critical you are.
When you're in a corporate setting and lunch is catered for you, but you want to eat something else, or at a different time.
When you're at a seminar for a whole day.
When you've been on the road for work for a week.
Tons of reasons.
Regardless, any time supplements are discussed, someone chimes in with the "why not eat real food" comment. We get it.
