Ok.. my rationalization. Texas Penal Code defines a human as a person who is born and alive when defining murder. A fetus does not fit that definition. Therefore it is not murder to abort a fetus. Apply the 2 minute old baby to that..
well that's just you blindly following the law. you're allowing the government of Texas to dictate right and wrong to you. but just because something is a law doesn't mean you have to agree with it. it used to be the law that a black man was worth 3/5 of a white man. would you rationalize killing a black man by citing federal law back in the 1800's? i'm guessing not. because that law was stupid. and it was eventually changed because there was no logic or science that could back it up.
the question was asked if you could speak to a baby in the womb about its favorite music. the person asking that question was obviously trying to make the point that its not a real person yet because it hasn't developed enough to have an opinion about anything. Therefore justifying abortion by claiming that its not actually a person.
the argument is obviously not well thought out and is easily dismissed by anyone with half a brain. because obviously a 3 week old baby couldn't pass the test either.
again I'm making the point that the pro choice movement is built on lies and faulty logic and faulty ethics. you couldn't possibly give a reason to abort a baby 6 months into gestation that wouldn't also apply to a 2 day old. you just can't. logic and ethics don't back it up. and science sure as hell doesn't back it up either.
those are facts. physiologically speaking there is no difference between the two. but our laws make one a murder, and another OK. and the majority of the country is OK with it. there was a time when the majority of the country was OK with slavery.
I'm not some pro life lunatic. But I do hate it when I see people mocking others opinions on their merits when their opinion is just as arbitrary and stupid as the one that they're criticizing.
abortion is about convenience. nothing more nothing less. the hard truth is that killing a large amount of people ALWAYS has an upside as we live in a world where we're all competing for resources. so the fact that people will ALWAYS defer to a social engineering argument is just proof that logic and science don't back up the position that a fetus is not a human being.
