thats wild, how do you do that? I dont give a flying fuck if someone I dont know gets killed. A person couldget smoked by a bus 10 feet from me and I would just go on with my day. Ive never understood sympathy for feeling anything for people you dont know dying. Not being prickish here, its just not in my ways

The fuck you could see someone get run over and not care.

How do I do that? Well, I don't think there is any trick or technique to teach you to care lol. Our emotional worlds are just different. How we perceive things and experience things are different. This stuff is taught during our younger days. We usually learn it from our parents or other close people in our lives. Of course there is a biological component to it.

A few weeks ago I was driving with my friend, and I saw a dog get hit by a car. Man, that was tough to see. I was upset for a good few days. It was a lab. I called the appropriate authorities and it was being taken care of. Dont know if the dog lived or not.

I suspect nothing really bad has happened to this guy.....in any event...

Kortney Moore, 18, from Rogue River, was in her Writing 115 class in Snyder Hall when one shot came through a window. She saw her teacher get shot in the head. The shooter was inside at that point, and he told people to get on the ground. The shooter was asking people to stand up and state their religion and then started firing away, Moore said. Moore was lying there with people who had been shot.

Might be a member of the religion of peace....its been an awful long time to wait for a name. I guess Muhammed Bin Douchbag won't fit to well with the guns are bad Islam is good narrative.

ha, thanks! Just a hypothesis. We retain what our ancestors gave us, both physically and psychologically, i.e., Carl Jung's Collective Unconscious.

Are you aware of my past? Ive seen people die, not being all tough here, just have. Its no secret on here that my inability to feel empathy has been stated multiple times. Shit, sometimes I wish I knew what it felt like. Like I said, its not some act for a message board, its just who I am, many on here know that

if  I saw a dog get hit by a car I'd lose my shit for days. I just dont have empathy for people.

I'd go into detail why but people who dont know me on this site would call bullshit. The ones who know my past get it

This stuff has nothing to do with guns.  The problem is that our society is disintegrating.  As a group we have lost our respect for the value of human life.  People are broke, angry, and heavily medicated.  Bad things coming down the pike.

Yeah, it was tough to see that. We didn't stop because we had two children (my friends kids--1 and 3) in the back seat.

But I did call the appropriate authorities to report it--good thing someone reported it before I did.

I've noticed, it's gotten restraining-order stupid. Seems Fox's pimping it, too, though, imagine that: "Mass Muder in Oregon" on O'Reilly. No typo, his spelling.

Today's moral: They're ALL unscrupulous whores. Always have been.

(Yes, after I JUST bitched about politics, I know. Go fuck yourselves.)

Make the cost of bullets start at $250/bullet. You can have all the guns you want, but you will think twice about firing a month's salary worth of bullets in a shootout. Most of these broke sociopaths committing mass shootings would not be able to buy more than a few bullets at a time.

Force gun manufacturers to make all of their guns traceable - be it by unremovable serial number, fingerprint identification, or some such other technological mechanism. ALL guns should be able to be traced back to their original purchaser. Or perhaps ALL BULLETS should be traceable - one of you geniuses can sort that out. That initial buyer GOES TO JAIL FOR ANY CRIME COMMITTED with his/her gun (or his/her bullets), unless he can substantiate the sale of the gun to another individual, pawn shop, or whomever. If the gun cannot be traced back to a specific person, the gun manufacturer must pay out in civil court to any victim shot by one of their products.

Imagine the home made bullets hitting the market...At least when someone has to go buy bullets, there are many ways to see how you are when doing so. Homemade bullets would be next to impossible to trace.

I would be okay with everything you just posted. Perhaps you could get discounted bullets if you bought and shot them at a firing range? That way, they stay on site, and if you want to leave with any, you pay extra.

See, we're making progress here.

My girlfriend recovered her cousin's body after he had been shot 50 times by a drug gang in a favella. As she called ambulance she had a gun aimed at her by the people who had shot him. She is far more sensitive to violent imagery/violence than I am. Guess why?

I am not soft either. I ran over a fox one time at night. It just ran across the road nothing I could do. I drove straight back and hard as it was and I saw it squirming in pain so went over it again to finish the job. I hate thinking about it but I did the right thing in my head. If you don't feel empathy you have an emotional deficit.

Bullshit. You are either emotionally stunted or lying. I have seen you bitch about bullying so much here.... is that not a form of empathy cos you were bullied for being fat?

That thread is unbelievable! It shows that some message boards can have a big effect on the weak minded. And I wonder how many of those who egged him on meant it.

It that board met the getbig board we would have a lot shootings.

Set it up.

Seriously though, after reading that thread, 4chan is going to get shut down from all the heat they'll be taking. That thread was brutal.

I care to the extent to which I can "grieve" the death of another person via some form of empathic response. I mean, I can, to a certain extent, put myself in the shoes of the families that have to deal with the death of a loved one. It must be horrible to lose a loved one to a senseless act of violence. In this regard, I care. But of course I am not crying or grieving myself.

Remember that reporter last month being shot and killed? Within hours her own father and boyfriend turned it into a political debate about gun control the very first time they came in front of a camera. How in the world could the public grieve for someone they don't know when her own family "seemingly" weren't grieving. The media is guilty of creating the fucked up world we live in. They are no longer just reporting the news. They're manipulating the news for whatever agenda TMZ style...

he calls me 'son' all the time and told me to 'know my place'.

and we've been battling politics since 2005, when I abruptly switched from sucking up to Bush all day to hating on the neocons.

If you want advice from someone in shape who has been fat they are exercising... empathy. A feeling of relatedness obtained through having been or being able to perceive being in such a situation.

So are you saying you could become a 10% bf bber like any getbigger and not feel an instinct to help a fatso lose weight? That's empathy...
