Somebody uploaded a Slayer video from 1989 which is my favorite thus far as it combines Slayer's wilder/smaller- and more refined/larger-audience era in one video. Very nice and an awesome bonus is King playing the intro to "Spill The Blood" on a 6-/12string guitar.

I saw them live back in the day at L'Amour in Brooklyn, NY. And I've seen them in recent years.

Yep, still definitely a solid metal show. I don't miss their shows when they come around.

Used to be a great club in Boston called "The Channel" right on the water-front.
All the good metal bands used to play there. I saw Celtic Frost, Slayer, Overkill, Manowar, Grim Reaper, Di'Anno's Battlezone (my old band opened for him), etc.
Late 80's were great days for me and metal shows back then.

Jeff was amazing but the bassist was so drunk that the audience had to hold him up during parts if the show. Wish I saw them with their original singer as well .

They played their instruments just fine, but even if they didn't, Venom proved a long time ago that you didn't have to be an expert at playing an instrument to make good music.

Sure, maybe they had their own unique sound, but still plenty of much better bands to listen to at the time.
