Buddies of mine are doing a tribute to classic 70's-80's rock/hair metal bands and touring the world. Making a somewhat decent living doing it too. Gen X-ers love their nostalgia acts. They played a local venue a few months back and Dee Snider came down to do a Twisted set with them.

I prefer groups like Cro-Mags, Agnostic Front, etc. saw the Cro-Mags live when I was 13 and that experience changed my life forever... not to mention running around the Lower East Side after the show, which was totally insane!!! If anyone was into the scene back then, they know the lower east side was nothing like the yuppieville it is today.

I'm imagining we are contemporaries, this one brings back a lot of wistful nostalgia - saw them at Silver Stadium (Rochester NY) with Warrant and BonJovi - they stole the show as far as I was concerned.

Baz was a friend of my ex from back in his Kid Wikkid days. Got vip seats for the show when they opened for Bon Jovi.

I've always thought they were a poor man's Alice in Chains... The sun they use for a logo, the name Godsmack is even an AIC song... Never found their appeal.
