His problem is that he did nothing.
Guy paints a swastika with human feces, he says nothing.
Students ask him about systematic oppression, he blames the students themselves.
Look, he's probably a good guy. I am sure he is, but he really handled the students concerns extremely poorly.
He wasn't fired because he was racist, he was fired because he just didn't say anything against it.
Not saying that it's right, but it is what it is.
Maybe to you and me, but not big picture. Else, despite the woulda/shoulda reasoning, this guy'd still have a job. As would Darren Wilson, who'll probably live in hiding until he dies, all based on a lie.
