as a  long time mma fan, the way that rousey was defeated with ease i dont see how she can defeat holm.

she was utterly dominated in every sense,  ronda would need at least a year or two to even catch her, if even possible.

plus she was beat so bad, she will never be the same.

That Holm chicks been boxing most of her life. Rousey is pushing 30 years old. You don't just pick up boxing at that age and be able to compete with people that have done it all their life. Rousey is a one trick pony. Rousey's stand up is silly. Beginning of the end for Rousey...

yeah but she was box office

she could have kept arm barring everyone till the end of the world

but she evolved and tried to stand and bang with an ex boxing world champion

that too guts

yeah she is an arrogant smart ass

but she has earned the right to be its that simple

Will be the ultimate test of her character to see how she bounces back from this defeat. Nasty knockout and if she can come back and defeat Holm in the rematch she will go up tremendously in my estimation and I reckon that of many others.

I know it's cliché but all those affirmation and positive thinking books speak of the importance of mental toughness and it's not how you get knocked down but how you get back up again that matters. I think the rematch will be fascinating actually but I don't see any way for Rousey to reverse the verdict unless she takes Holm down immediately and goes for the submission. Standing and trading is only going to result in her getting sparked again.

Nah, Rousey has rounded the corner from athlete to celeb.  There is no going back.  She will try to ride the celeb train she was on.  Going back and fighting again and potentially losing will end both careers.  She can still salvage her celeb career and try to make money in tv or movies.

Yeah, you may well be right there. I don't know but if I was her manager I'd definitely be looking at options. An immediate rematch with Holm would be the most interesting for us though!

I don't think she tried to stand. everytime she got close enough to do anything she got punched in the face.

I agree. She got punched in the face by a person who has heavy hands and is relentless. Everything changes when you get punched in the face.

Holly Holms is easy on the eyes as well. Let's not forget that. Shes got Rousy beat in that department.

If Rousey didn't get ko'ed, they probably would've wound up stopping it on cuts or something. Holm was catching her with everything. Rousey has one Tysonesque attribute, and that's that she gets angry and more open when she gets hit, alas, she has no hands to make it interesting.

She didn't evolve, she just thought she did and believed edmunds bullshit and her own hype. She's an amateur striker, Holm dispatched her easily

Far from the worst in the world of female MMA.

Caked-up she can pull it off well enough. Better than Miesha Tate's mushy jew face.

i am really surprised dana "deepthroat" white  wants to book a  rematch.

becuase   if the second fight goes like the first fight,  ronda will retire.     i would think uncle dana     would want to milk her for every dime

they can get.  this loss i would think will great diminish her drawing power
