What exactly is he suing for? Emotional distress?

Yes, look at Tapeworm's post.

I would love to know the conversations that took place about the clock before it made it to school, that's for sure.

The dad and sister knew what was going on, and I do believe Ahmed was used in that sense (like Tapeworm says).
