Agreed....Putin is getting his ass burned in Syria.....first the Russian airliner being blown from the sky...now this with a Russian fighter plane blown from the sky as well.....easy to talk shit but really he can't do anything....his military would be destroyed in a confrontation with NATO..also his military is supposedly taking some casualties in syria as well but they are being covered up..just like the heavy casualties his military took in Ukraine that they tried to cover up as well but the soldiers were posting onto facebook

I don't think NATO would do shit if Putin pressed the issue, I don't think USA has the desire to get involved, and if we don't show up, the rest don't do shit. It would be Munich all over again. Also, the plane, even if it was in Turkish airspace, was not when it was shot down. It was said to be in airspace for 17 seconds and was shot down well behind Syrian lines. Not cool on Turkeys part.

(ANSA) - Trieste, November 26 - Italian police on Thursday seized some 800 pump-action rifles heading from Turkey to Germany, Netherlands and Belgium at the northeastern port of Trieste. The weapons were being transported, without authorisation, in a Dutch truck driven by a Turkish national, police said. The load comprised 781 Winchester SXP models and 66 Winchester SXP rifles. The Turkish maker of the weapons was cited for breaching national security regulations. Controls at Italian ports have been stepped up in the wake of the November 13 Paris terror attacks.

Russia on Thursday said its forces had wiped out Syrian rebel groups operating in the area where one of its jets was brought down, unleashing a huge bombardment after rescuing a pilot.

"As soon as our pilot was safe, Russian bombers and artillery of the Syrian government forces carried out massive strikes in the indicated area for an extended period," military official Igor Konashenkov told Russian news agencies.

"The terrorists operating in that area and other mysterious groups of peace were destroyed," he said. Konashenkov added that the Russian strikes helped Syrian ground forces take control of the mountainous area in the north of the Latakia province.

Erdogan backtracking of Peace

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Thursday that Turkey would have acted differently if it had known a warplane its forces downed on the Syrian border was Russian.

He also said that Russian President Vladimir Putin had not answered his call after Tuesday's incident that has seriously damaged ties between two rival players in the Syrian conflict.

"I called Mr Putin but until now he never answered my call," he said.
