I don't mind others not enjoying traditional Jazz.  I loathe hippity hop and cRap but then anyone with an IQ above Genova level (i.e., 60 +) should despise that poop.  I am a tremendous fan of vocalists like Sinatra and Bennett as well as musicians such as Miles Davis and Dave Brubeck.  I also enjoy a great many bands/groups and individual artists from the 50s through the 80s like Cass Elliott and Karen Carpenter to name but two.   People with talent.

Armstrong was and remains to those with a memory enriched by having seen him perform, were it in person or via TV, film or records, an American treasure.  He will be remembered and revered long after Scoop Doggy Doo and Hebroes with Attitude have faded like shitty tie dyed hippy apparel.  What he displayed was born of talent and hard work.

Today's menial "musicians" and "vocalists" are whelped from the dregs of the Great Society.  Filth.
