these san berdino shooters had contact with someone on the terror list.  They got their guns legally.

had we expanded the terror list, AS OBAMA HAS BEEN QUIETLY PUSHING TO DO according to right-wing source WND, then associates of the known listers may have been added - SUCH AS THESE TWO SHOOTERS.

it's a tricky one here.  Obama wants to add more people to the list, and keep guns from them.  Repubs want ZERO restrictions on who can own guns - even if you're on the corner screaming some anti-USA shit in NYC, you can still legally buy guns, as long as you haven't broken any laws.  I don't liek that.

Impossible to say IF expanding the list would have added these particular associates of known terror listers.  Likely, tho...

I'd guess if you're having phone chats with someone on the terror list, then YES, your ass deserves to be on that list too.  Toss in the "flying to mid east to recruit a wife", yeah, let's go ahead and put them on the list, huh?

in this case, I'd say our govt should call them up, and say "Hey, your buddy is on the list, why were you calling him".   If they can explain a legit reason that isn't a common hatred for all things red white and blue, maybe they don't go on the list.  If they are buddies who visit pakistan each year together, maybe just maybe you add them to the list.

I'm not saying auto-add.  I'm saying auto-investigate their asses.  Maybe determine if UPS has been shipping them bomb parts or they're using their wifi to pledge allegiance to isis.   You know, during the Bush years, nobody gave a shit about the patriot act reading everyone's mail and phones.  Suddenly it's uber-butthurt when obama does it to fish out the bad guys.   how many repubs said "if you have nothing to hide..."
