In fairness sometimes being black is a burden.

Certainly. Now to what extent, I've always wondered and have no definitive answer, but it is there.

That does not negate the fact that the black community needs to be better about telling each other when they are doing the wrong thing. Not necessarily "illegal", but wrong.

What have you accomplished in life to be so proud of?

Not looking like an ape. Not sitting on the porch. Not a glutton for KFC and Watermelon.

Not raping people. Not assaulting people. Not stealing bikes from people. Not robbing people.

Not killing someone for wearing a different color. Fully wearing my pants and of course having composed Beethovens 5th.

Not doing something isn't the same as being successful, LOL!!

Someone with such bold claims (as the one dude)should have done great things. I'm waiting to read how he's a self-made billionaire that fights crime by night. :)

Well if most blacks did not do the shit they do there might be some more succesful ones.so not doing things can make you succesful. Not murdering, raping, drug dealing, hanging on the stoop drinking, not collecting welfare,if you stay away from those you might become succesful.

You are saying that historically throughout history in the US that black people have had the same opportunities as white people?

Research systematic racism and get back to me.

It does exist and while I wish affirmative action wasn't necessary, we aren't quite there as a country yet.

During my years (quite a few), i have helped people with their education, inspired people, helped them get jobs, stopped fights, i have even saved people from dying.

I had alot to be proud of back when i was 30.

Funny that getbig has this same argument here every couple months. While i am racist i just argue to have fun on here.im sure you blacks on here are ok guys.but you have to admit the majority in this country are fucked beyond belief. No respect for human life and thinking they should be handed everything is just ridiculous in my eyes.then you have rap music, pants falling off asses, talking loud on phones in public, swearing and acting like complete animals.its just enough already.

On another site: Some kid was complaining about affirmative action because there were 2 black kids in his class. Despite having no evidence but their race, he felt they had taken seats away from deserving white kids.

They might have, whites kids have to get the grades while blacks get put thru sometimes just cause they need a certain number of minorities even though they didnt earn it.

Some places have initiatives but you'd still have to be relatively smart to get in better colleges.

I will agree that if it comes down to two kids with 4.0 GPAs, the minority will have an advantage in some situations. That being said, people who believe Harvard automatically accepts every minority applicant with a 4.0 GPA are misinformed.

Like the girl who sued University of Texas for not getting in.

Saying affirmative action screwed her when she wasn't a good student anyway.

That's just someone's agenda right there.

so i just watched a video on wshh

starts off with two young black ladies pulling each others weaves off while windmilling at each other

a child no older than ten runs in throwing punches at one of the young ladies shouting leave my momma bitch or similar

of course the young lady decides to start throwing haymakers at the ten year old

at this point a 400 pound older lady knocks her to the ground

sensing the kill

a pack of feral blacks descend like rats swarming a corpse  on the young lady stomping on her head while the chant of world star masks her wails of despair

is this representative of their culture in the states  or merely a small percentile of idiots proving an otherwise unjustified stereotype

they pretty much act all this way.. anytime you meet one that "acts different" put them around other blacks then they act the same...
real men= no rubbers

She was probably raised to believe being white carried certain entitlements.

I lived in a black ghetto from the age of 5 to the age of 21 or so...........not an easy time as it was during the 60`s and 70`s.

Later on in my life I returned to the ghetto to live with my aunt and uncle in the ghetto for another 13 years off and on...... aunt due to my alcohol and drug abuse which left me broke and homeless..

OK,personal history out of the way.

I must say I`ve seen a lot of insane brawls way worse than pictured in the video on a frequent basis (not daily of course).

I was bussed to school with black people who I grew up with since the age of 5 years old.......I never considered my 5 year old neighbor as a black as he was my friend.

In fact a lot of black friends families treated my like one of their own........dinner,parties,etc. etc.

Because of being bussed the white kids hated me and called me a n i gg erlo ver not an easy time for me but we were poor and my uncle owned the house so the rent was cheap and affordable.

Most of my closest friend in those days were black.

There was a race riot in my town and my mother was working at a store right in the midst of black and hippies from a nearby college battling the cops.........fires,assults and melee`s ensued.

I went there amidst it all with a mullato kid I knew, and got my mother out of the burning store.

Now to the other side of the coin, back then as with most people not just black or white,,,,,,,,,we never locked our dooors and people worked and helped one another.

If we can get back to that mentality,I think it`s possible to all get along...............just don`t believe it will IMO.

Call me what you will but I had to come up fast and hard as white kids hated me due to the bussing issue I alluded to and if I crossed the railroads tracks in my neighborhood the black folks there weren`t partial to my white ass.  :D

I made it through this as well as many other tough situations..........didn`t come out unscathed mentally, but I`m still standing.

Flame on...............nothing you can say will hurt me as I was a true victim of circumstance.

I feel your pain wes.

It's different growing up in the 60s and growing up today though.

In those certain neighbourhoods, forget going to sleep without locking your door.
