How were they imposing their religious beliefs by refusing to bake them a cake. One could say that the homosexual community is imposing their beliefs on us ...its sad to me.
I'm pretty sure buying a cake is not a right.
Homophobic is implying that you have a phobia of homosexuals. I associate with them .i have a few at work that I would consider friends BUT I don't believe in gay marriage..so am I homophobic..absolutely not
It would take a Constitutional Law expert but I'm guessing the 9th Amendment protects us from ourselves in cases where it's impossible to restrain the inner asshole.Generally speaking, I feel our rights are connected.
The Bill of Rights, are natural rights that the government cannot take away from you. But you are correct depending on the interpretation the 9th could go a couple different ways. Now a cake has to be made by someone, therefore having or buying cake is not a natural right.
The people who are abusing the system do not give a single fuck about amendment xyz - it's payback time if anybody questions their "authority". The really bad people are the enablers in the background who allow such polarization knowingly melting down society.
You are correct and there is a reason for it, if the general populace is continually distracted and fighting among themselves, well it makes it easier for .gov to get away with unconstitutional things. At some point the USA will welcome, no demand that .gov takes away our rights for the illusion of safety
Patriot act.
Whats the rationale for so much money?Sometimes I get it, you need professional help from a therapist. But here? You lost time... Maybe a penalty but a 6 figure penalty? I'd be shocked if most businesses could weather that.
Is only when you refuse to provide service simply because someone is gay, that you become Homophobic.WoooSSHHHH BE YE KE
I agree, 30 years ago these people were properly diagnosed as maladjusted and perverted...Sick....
Exactly. Now the mass media promotes this shit and tries to normalize it. The younger generation is being indoctrinated/brainwashed by this garbage. The doctors who perform these operations/treatments are an abomination to the profession.
deterrent to the next small business owner
and 40 years ago blacks had their own water fountain and 50 years ago women couldn't vote... that's how progress works... you progress
So you think is OK for .gov to put someone out of business because of their beliefs?
when their beliefs contradict the law yes. other such examplesMuslims beating their wiveschild bridesanimal welfare laws that contradict ritual animal slaughterer all legit religious beliefs that don't get to happen because they contradict the law.
Yes because all those things are similar to not selling a cake
Wish the bakery was in my town..i would go and buy something daily
