Their commercials are just to get people to join. When I went to a PF, there were quite a number of guys who were in good shape. There was some guy who had at least 19" arms.

take it easy on planet fitness. for ten dollars month, and zero start up, its cool. they must have 60 top of the line treadmills. plus all of the other cardio machines. the treadmills are top notch.
i just go to use the treadmills, a serious lifter could not lift here, but for beginners it good. clean, good restrooms, good machines, for ten dollars a month. I'm in.

They like riling people up with their ads.... I used to think they were kind of taking the piss with some of the rules but I had a friend who worked at one, and they forced you to hit that alarm and shit... I doubt any employee actually enjoys doing that.

Most of the employees are just college kids that don't even lift, sans the trainers. Pretty weird but I've been in one and saw plenty of relatively in shape folks.

Why should other people's insecurities be a problem for a fit person? If I went into a PF and another member found me intimidating, how should that be my problem? I'd suggest the problem is theirs to contend with. What if I found fat people repugnant and could complain to management for them to cover up their fat carcasses, or be asked to leave so they don't make me ill? It would be deemed fat shaming. Society is way too eager to coddle people, instead of forcing them to suck it up and develop coping and social skills.

If we're all such "lunks", how come we're not fat f*cks that can't figure out how to get in shape? These insecure people might contemplate asking advice from those that know how to train and diet to get actual results.

I've mentioned this before but there is a 17k sq ft one not far from me and I have been locked in at 99 bucks for a long time. It's a great second gym with all new Hammer, Cybex and Lifefittness machines.

I've never had an issue in fact there trainers ask me questions. Lot's of hot women too.

I don't know, I go to PF sometimes. Really, who cares? Weights are weights. You go in, workout, then leave.

I am guessing its not as embarrassing as having another adult give you the nickname "Elf."

I make noise,use chalk,spit and bleed when I train.........no clue as to what you do in your fitness center.

Dude, use some tampons and why spit?

I lift heavy but most I will do is a meek "ugh" at top of a heavy deadlift... make a rule against cellphones being used and watch gyms explode with energy. I am guilty of checking football scores and for texts from customers/business during gym - there is no rush. Phones lead to machines being tied up, cables occupied and general laziness.
