He doesn't think he has a problem. He thinks his behavior is justified.
How quickly you forget his threads. NOTHING will ever be groin's fault. Everything is someone else's' fault and he is never accountable or responsible for his actions

I don't think the first thing he needs to do is pay WW back. In a perfect world, yes, but he has bigger fish to fry. He can't pay WW if hes still an addict. The first thing he needs to do is get clean and get all of his expenses in order (if he has any debt from court). You can't pay someone back when your life is in shambles. Yes, Groink should pay back WW, but realistically speaking, he needs to take care of the other stuff first before he can even begin to pay back debts to friends or family.
The first thing Groink needs to do,besides paying back Walter the money that he owes him,is to check into detox,then a rehab,then a halfway house.
He`s far from being a criminal........more like an addict if you ask me.
That being said,once he hits bottom,he`ll either act or die.
Who knows, maybe he has hit "rock bottom" and will rethink his position. Its not uncommon for people to reach such places and bring themselves back up. It makes you wonder, how many more times can Groink keep doing this? Eventually its going to lead to a very long jail sentence or death.
I refuse to pile on Groink. He is clearly in a dark place in his life, and I wouldn't wish jail on any Getbigger.
Walter, I know Groink basically stole money from you, and while I agree that it was a terrible thing to do, it clearly supports the theory of Groink's downward spiral.
Who knows, maybe he will turn his life around, and you will get a surprise $600 (with interest) into your Paypal account, someday.
Greg, get better for your daughter's sake. You would always talk about being an "Alpha Male", well there is nothing more "Alpha" than having your kid being proud to call you her dad.

All fair and good points.
People love to slam addicts and with all fairness it is deserved most of the time however let me point out a few things
1-Although not a so called gateway drug, I have known people who were solid in health and working out who got on the juice and because of the increase in looks by being in great shape the attention and sexy times increased and so did the partying on the town which led to some pretty hard downward spirals into addictions they would have never dreamed of
2- Get injured/get into an accident/ get sick/need surgery, then get prescribed narcotics. Up until that point you worked hard, have a family, take care of yourself, meetup with friends maybe once every 2 weeks. Other than that you have a few beers/glasses of wine a week.
6 months after getting prescribed a narcotic painkiller for the ailment, after the accident, post injury, post surgery you find yourself increasingly still dependant on them and even having to take a drink or few with them to increase the effect. You vow to quit but don't wean off properly and on your own so we come to.....
3- Now you find your doctor wont prescribe you anymore and you go out and have to score narcotics on the street. When you can't score the narcotic painkiller which you also mix with booze you score some coke, crack or meth as suggest by your friend the dealer.
fully addicted to everything your on the verge of/or have lost pretty much everything and everyone including your dignity. You sell all your valuables or other peoples to support your habit, you have borrrowed from everyone and now you start doing things you would not ever think of doing to fee the habit you want to stop but are so entrenched in and so in denial about your stuck on stupid. you start to steal, lie , cheat, panhandle or if you are a chick(no matter what age) you fuck strangers for money and lose all your dignity. And if you happen to be a young pretty boy guy, twinkish or with some muscle left, you do the same as the chicks, only with other dudes
when I hear someone calling some alkie/addict scum for some stunt they pulled, fine.
Some of the stuff spouted off here though makes me shake my head because chances are pretty great that some of us here posting today will be become an addict, be affected by one, have their mother, father, wife, husband, sister, brother, child, best friend end up in one of the type of innocent scenarios above and become that and then you lose them.
