Is Mens Physique still worth getting into?
« on: January 12, 2016, 03:00:38 AM »
Back a few years ago when the division was first introduced, many people took advantage of it and became IFBB Pro's, had their side businesses on the side from it, and gained a mass following on social media because of it. Keeping in mind that it was new, fresh and the what everyone was talking about, what about today? Is it still something worth getting into to become "pro" in order to attract a large following? Or are you better off coming up with other ideas to be able to attract those who are into fitness?

I think that market has been flooded.  I think for those with exceptional knowledge on fitness and strength could easily build a huge following.  I don't think you need more than a fit body and a professional demeanor. What a lot of people want is top quality information, cutting edge stuff.

This is what I'm thinking... Classic physique is the new opportunity for growth and mass exposure In my opinion

You could be right, it may well become the more popular of the other alternatives.  I think bodybuilding fans have tired of monstrous cloned freaks that have no flow and aesthetics. What got me into bodybuilding as a younger man was the great variety of physiques, all exceptional in their own right.  Now days they all look like clones of one another and everybody knows such a look is unobtainable for almost everyone. It would at least be exciting to get in while the category is in it's infancy.

By and large the Blahas and the Genovas of the fitness world have cornered the market.

Nothing wrong with building  a fit "beach body" for personal reasons, BUT, that's no reason to compete.
The idea of competition is to use the event to push the envelope and beat others .

Again, I'm all for doing your own thing in the gym and avoiding the ideals of being a massive freak.
BUT, if you're doing it for mostly personal reasons, you don't need to be on stage in a contest.

Better start practicing them 1/4 turns.

Why even bother with that gay ass shit?

Why not just train, diet for the sake of doing it/loving it and being happy with that?

Too many guys think they can become popular/make money from being in shape. You'll just be another drop in the bucket of millions. You gotta be extremely good looking, naturally likeable and be ripped year round.

Still have yet to see a pic of you.

YOu're not cut out for this man. Too shy and reserved.

Thanks ritch. My chest has always been a weak point. To answer your question I will be doing this regardless the whole working out thing because it's what I love to do, why not build a brand over the course of the months and years to come. It costs nothing on my part and keeps me focused on progressing and becoming better and better. If at the end of the day I get zero from it that's ok because all I invested was a little time trying to pursue potential dreams. Jeff Logan is a huge motivator seeing him come from nothing to his different brands today - all stemming from online coaching and such.

Competing has absolutely never interested me - I just see it as an outlet to look more professional and get more exposure. However this thread was posted because I feel like physique's flame is dwindling down and Classic Physique may be the new rave. I know personally two guys today who started mens physique when it first began and they were able to gain so much exposure and draw in revenue from different business ideas such as coaching meal plans etc but that was when it was popular. I don't feel the same way about physique today but I may be wrong, so I decided to ask here.

8)..NICE DUDE,,
Thanks njflex. I still see my physique as very average and really trying to improve and one day reach the top level. I have two clients right now one of which is a 177lb 5'1 lady and she has been following my meal plan for just under a week and currently down to 171lbs eating 5x a day when she used to eat 1-2 meals tops. I taught her everything I knew to make "prepping" extremely easy so she can stick with it... She gets 15 meals 3 days worth of food done after cleanup in 45 minutes flat. This week she will begin going to the gym so I'm excited as her progress will come even faster now. Really happy for her the better they do the better I do because I can begin to build my portfolio on social media with before and after pictures and tag my clients.

I just thought another audience is those who actually want the truth about masculine ripped physiques.  I think this is why Rich Piana has become so popular, he is actually telling people his cycles (even if not 100% accurate), but he is being honest and saying, you want results these are the drugs you got to take.  Mind you, it is a risk and you would have to be careful.  Ritch claims he doesn't keep any of his gear at the house but I am sure it wouldn't be hard to tail him for a while and work out his strategy, that's if LE even gives a fuck about the bloated douchebag.

Good post.

People have always ignored many of the drug laws despite the obvious  risks.
They want to know what really works from the fitness industry insiders.

I've never had any moral objections to BB drug use myself.
To me, it was never worth the risk or cost$$, just to add more muscle mass or get leaner quicker.
