Blatt had a philosophy that basketball is about matchups and not superstars. He would bench his superstar for a game if it meant a bench player was a better match up. he tried that early last season limiting numbers based on the matchup and the NBA egos had a fit. If he could, he'd probably leave Love on the bench for the whole game against the Warriors but then the owner would have a fit that he paid $100+ million for a role player. Pop gets away with it in San Antonio because the players bought into the system. I believe this season and most of last, no player has been on the court for more than 30 minutes. Then you have James who's on the court for almost all 48 minutes.
