Not smart money.  If you read some of the stuff from the odds makers, the true line on a neutral field was supposed to be Carolina -3.   It was inflated due to the AFC/NFC championship games result.  Smart money jumped all over it in the beginning which drove the line down to 4.5....it gravitated back a bit.  A lot may have been trying to middle it.

I'm not much of a football fan but I was happy to see 'The Sheriff' get another ring.  Peyton Manning carried his teams for all those years, it was nice to see a team carry him for once.

Peyton Manning, 4 Superbowl appearances, 2 different teams, 4 different coaches, incredible.

Cam acted like a big cry baby during the postgame conference. He's all smiles when he is winning. The least he could have done is congratulate a class act like Peyton.

Peyton didn't announce his retirement after the game because he didn't what to steal attention from his teammates.  Too classy.  He's done though.

Then he gets owned by the Denver defense, loses, answers a few questions with one word answers during the postgame interview, then walks off. 

Granted, hes still a great quarterback, I'm sure. But gee, show a little more class that.

Well, he did answer some questions, but just answered with 1 word responses.

I thought Newton quit late in the game too.  He looked really frustrated out there and he didn't bother going after the fumbled ball that was right in front of him.

Like I said before, I don't know much about this dude so I don't want to crap on him.  What little I have seen of him, I don't like.

Wow.  Losing sucks and I don't expect him to be happy but that looks really bad, especially from your QB.  It's all fun and games when you are clowning other people.

The only problem is that he wasn't comparing himself to a far superior Denver defense.

Didn't even go after his own fumble and looked like he just gave up.  Denver has an awesome pass rush but he has a quick drop and should have been dumping it off to slots and backs. Play calling was atrocious and he looked gassed after the first series.  Add poor sport to the mix.

I don't know if he has a choice or not to speak to the press but think it's understandable if he were to choose not to.

He has no choice. I believe part of their contract REQUIRES that they speak to the press. How they go about doing that, I guess is in the discretion of the player.
