You don't understand - the economy has shrunk.  Some of the people have successful small business and are independently wealthy.  However - there 101,000,000 people who need assistance buying their food and 120,000,000 on some form of welfare and 98,000,000 us workers.  Most of the 15,000,000 who no longer work are dependent on government or individuals to survive.  Your a fool if you believe 4.7 unemployment ... Even Yellen said that is a bullshit number.  I am glad for your enthusiasm and conviction for Obama but he is terrible when it comes to the economy and providing for working class people and excellent for the elite of the us population ... You can not deny the numbers

Overall, you make some very good points...no question that every year more and more people are going on food stamps but this has been trending in that direction way before Obama became Prez......Government handouts are going up across the board......and its going to get worst due to corporations not wanting to pay people what they are worth, increasing mechanization, and globalization.......none of those things are Obama's fault....

Another thing thats killing wages is the fact that the REPUBLICANS HAVE SUCCESSFULLY DEMONIZED AND DESTROYED THE UNIONS...and because of this workers in the U.S. have much less bargaining power than they used to...union membership has sunk to an all time low.....and this is the result

So now the government has to subsidize corporations through the use of food stamps......

The Republicans are genius at getting the American people to vote against things that are in their best interests..like unions, etc
