My iPod fell in the toilet at the gym today.

Fuck!  iPod nano.  Taking a piss before leaving and it was clipped to my sweatshirt.  Slips off and falls right in the fucking toilet.  Think it is ruined.

Some do, some say using those silicone gel packs work - I put the open port side in front of a dehumidifier for four days and that worked.

A buddy of mine emailed earlier and told me that his Iphone 6 fell in the toilet today and hit log.  Said it was only submerged in water for about a second before he fished it out with his hand.  That was a quick response considering it dive bombed a turd.  I think i would have said "fcuk it", ate my losses and looked for a more sanitary way to retrieve it, but that's me.  Shitty way to lose (teehee) $600-$700 Canadian (so about $20US).  In any case, he's giving it the dry rice treatment now.

This worked for my samsung s4. Total toilet immersion. Advice i heard was also do NOT take out battery. The earphones did not work for a while but they came back and it is still my backup phone.

I put phone in a lunchbox of rice. And yes, i used the rice for cooking. Boiled water is ok.

My mishap was like a comical sketch. I took phone out as going for a piss and threw phone as if handing to a running back in a play. But the running back was  a toilet bowl and it sat there. Also hapened my blackberry when kid was 2 and thought it would be funny to throw my phone in toilet.
