Serious question guys.

I'm moving to the US for what might be 2-5 years at least. Assuming I have money, live in an affluent neighbourhood, private schools etc, will my kids have to mix with your savages?

In the UK they'd only be encountered on public transport, the dole queue, shit nightclubs, gyms and athletic tracks, and state sponsored education.

where in the states are you moving to? i live in nyc(my way of exxex) and despite all of it's poor reputation the mongrels generally keep to their own neighbourhoods

Somewhere around BH, SM, Brentwood, Palisades. I know the streets aren't exactly mean there, and my concern is more for my kids and any "cultural appropriation" they may suffer from. American youth culture is far too ghetto for my liking.

Yes, you can avoid the 'groid if you just stay out of their habitat.

Safe places = the beach, hockey games, the produce section of the grocery store, universities, the dentist, and work

No-go zones = liquor stores, T mobile, furniture rental stores, fried food shops, dialysis clinics, Burlington coat factory and child protective services.

I've worked (never lived) in some pretty violent areas: Harlem, NY, South Central Los Angeles, and Springfield, MA. Needless to say, your best bet is to stay away from dangerous neighborhoods.
