Just want to see if it's popular to ecotage with old fashion decor and furniture. Today's furniture sucks so I am more interested in all antique furnishings and furniture.

This can be a tricky decorating choice. If you get it wrong, your place will look like a granny house or a museum. This being said, the quality of craftsmanship in much of the furniture you find today is poor, even when you purchase what is considered higher end product. Successful decorators are doing a great job of mixing it up, so that the décor is fresh.
True antiques are items that are over 100 years old. Anything newer is really just used furniture. Some used furniture will break the budget, especially if in is iconic mid-century and with a famous designer's name attached.
