Give us some numbers. What can it do in a quarter mile, 0-60, 0-100?

0-60 3.5 seconds, 1/4 times low 12s, top speed 186mph

More importantly, it's a world class sports car and not a one trick pony.

Very true, and a very good point!

Put a black stripe on it. That keeps it all black. Slightly different color black than the car...

Without...the pic above with the matte black is the way to go if you're gonna put stripes. Personally, I wouldn't even put the stripes. But if you are, matte black...to keep it all black. Like Snoman said.

My parents had a 68 growing up.  My mom was a psycho driver ha!

My best friend in High School fixed up a 68 just like this and then smacked it head-on into a concrete truck...

Definitely all black.  The red accents make it look like Night Rider.

Hahahhaha, I was half joking.  I did not realize they did a remake in 2008 using a Cobra.  WTF?

not a great car for the track

I'd rather get a used audi R8 for that kind of money

any german car is going to hug and stick to the track like glue ..I've had 3 bmws and you can basically turn a  hard corner with your 'pud 'at high speeds with no problems.

BMW's probably perform about the same as this car. Front Engine and quite heavy.

Audi R8 is more of a supersports car with its mid engine and lightweight aluminum chassis...

1.) r8 is about double the price. Even with the market up.
2.) if you're going to really track a daily driver, people mod the vehicle for that particular application.
3.) Shelby aftermarket and support > Audi R8
4.) Shelby consumables are less $$$ then R8 consumables.
5.) stfu and let the real car men talk.

then go with a cayman 'great track car'or 911  for a real run.

Ya about paint.  What's next?  What color fuzzy dice to hang from the mirror?  Day-glo upholstery trim piping?  A little gearstick 8 ball?

Go easy with all the technical jargon!

Car and Driver has the 0-60 at 4.3 seconds. 11.9 quarter mile and 116 MPH trap time. Top speed is a little hard to believe.  I did see a video of it going to 171MPH at the tach appeared to be at 8K.
