Because when you crack down on the illegal enterprises which cause them to come here, the problem takes care of itself.  And we don't have to trust PD with power that we know will be continually misused.

The idea is to live free.  Once upon a time, that's what it was all about.
Sure, no problem cracking down on those enterprises. But legal documents exist. You have to show your passport to get into different countries. Unless you're a refugee invader.

Police officers should be allowed to ask people that look like Mexicans to show proof of legal status in the USA. They ask USA citizens to provide proof of driver's licenses and insurance every day.

It will be easy to deport these illegal immigrants. And Mexico should be forced to pay for it via transfer of physical Gold or some other transaction.

I guarantee you once Mexico starts paying they'll crack down on immigration on their side.

The time for being nice is over.

Would you have police approaching people on the street, based on a suspicion that they may not have legal status?

Just send them back the way they came in......through the drug tunnels.

They walked in, make them walk out.  Walking is inexpensive.

Absolutely. In times of war in the past, soldiers wore uniforms for a reason. So the enemy could be identified. And if they wore the same uniform their accent or lack of language understanding was a dead give away that they were enemies.

These illegals broke a fundamental law. Who cares about profiling. The majority of illegals happen to be Mexican. So they will speak broken English or won't even be able to communicate in English and will obviously look like a Mexican with dark hair, darker skin etc. Most officers will have a good idea if they are looking at an illegal immigrant or not. And if they happen to have legal status, good for them.

I love how everyone keeps scratching their head saying "How are you going to get them out?" We're not trying to send them to Mars!! This is not fucking rocket science. As Pray said, walking is cheap.

Won't police be able to detain anyone at will, though?
