The Mexicans in Texas LOVE JC Penny.

They always have weird sales too (JCP not the Mexicans). You'll ALWAYS get some sort of extra discount that you aren't looking for, no homo

Everything is always on sale. I get most of my dress shirts for work there because they are usually but one get one free or at least half off. Plus I subscribed to get their weekly coupons emailed to me which is usually another 15% off.

Target owns TJ max , marshals and home goods and are already planning to add a couple thousand more stores. People love these bargain stores.
Sears is toast. They are selling their name brands off soon.  Macy's is having a one day sale every other day.   Macy's will be out soon.  Sports chalet already shut down.  The only sporting store left will be Dicks. Just sucks.

You have an Academy Sports and Outdoors in your area? That's where I usually go, always crowded too.

No. Dicks which had just one store and Big 5 which is a ghetto sports store.  San Diego is ripe for a sports store to on up.

Local Sports Auth store in NH has only 10% off right now (mainly), of already inflated prices... With time I think it will go up to 30%, etc...

Not even bothering to go until the plywood is over the windows. Until that point, they'll still be trying to rip me off.

If they want to get real and get this show on the road, they need to mark everything 50% off.  I walked through yesterday and everything was still expensive as ever now with a couple dollars knocked off.

We're people buying things? I got to the store at 9:00 and there were 30 people waiting.  I took a tour of the store and saw jack shit on sale. What's worse is that they already cleared and area. I got to the front there were 5 people in line already.  Such dumbasses.

Mr A. predicts these will soon follow:

 - Nordstrom
 - Sears
 - Macy's
 - JC Penny
 - Target

Remember, you read it here first.

4/5's of that list not read here first.  But I'd agree, especially Penny's, Sears and Macy's.

Target is hurting a bit though.

GameStop should also be on the cutting block. Thing is practically a modern day Blockbuster.

Nearest one is about 50 miles away and I don't really need any more clutter for when we move in July.

It's crazy watching the retail industry crumble in this country.  So many jobs lost in the last 10 years.

Hmmm interesting. I haven't been inside one in years. Just figured by now anyone can get their used games on Amazon or EBay and download new games via their consoles. I just don't see them still being around in 10 years.

The Houston Galleria, and Houston's Memorial City is going quite well.

Other malls are not...What is the difference?...The Galleria and Memorial City are in "One Percent" Neighborhoods.

Lloyd Center mall in Portland is going through major renovation. Leaning away from retail stores and headed towards more service oriented businesses.

Pretty much without fail, if your mall starts with an Apple Store as an anchor, it'll do ok.
