That's life. I will make more if I have to. I lease luxury cars (usually BMW although I also have an Audi now). Acquiring things, getting ahead, making money ... these things give meaning to my life. I don't understand how people get any joy out of being miserly and living risk-free lives. To each his own though

Depends on how big the risk is. Calculated risk is okay. Haphazard risk is not.

Might as well start robbing banks if we follow "Olympiagym's" logic.  To each his own though.  ::)

I must admit that I lead a pretty risk-free life. I take minimal risk, unless I know its a sure thing.

a beat up car from 95...good luck with that lol... You're better off leasing shitty but new prius. That car you have there will be a headache

In my yonger years I owned older cars thinking I would save a penny by fixing things myself. But then I owned myself by spending hours fixing those things. Time = Money

Wised up...

So you pay a dealer about 7200 bucks over two years just for the privilege of driving around a car even more gay than me?   Awesome ::)

When you lease you are the registered "owner" although title remains in the hands of the financing company.

No, you are registered with the DMV. You never actually own it.

When you buy a car, after it is paid for, you get the title. Then you have something you can turn around and sell and perhaps have some value in.

Leasing never does that. I find leasing cars only valuable if you are the type of person who never pays off anything in the first place. If you are always wanting the next new car, then it's fine.

If you are not that type, it is pointless.

At that point, Id rather save up a few more thousand and get like a 2014-2015 Honda (my favorite car) and call it my own.

ROFLMAO!!!!!

OlympiaGym will probably try to preach to you now about "fiscal responsibility" and how to save conservatively.  Oh brother, what a hypocrite.  ::)

Whenever I see someone, (who obviously does not own the car they pretend in) I laugh.  Youtube morons are filled with it.  You have some of them "leasing" Lamborghinis even. ALL of their money going to a 1 or 2 year lease, fronting and pretending.  Its hilarious.

It also inflates the price of the car for a REAL buyer who wants to actually OWN the thing.  Pathetic!  These people have ruined society and caused runaway inflation big time.  Practices like this make for a throwaway society instead of a fiscally conservative savings society.

Look at OlympiasGym.  His response was, "I will just make more money", "Acquiring Things" driving LEASED cars give him meaning in life. Sad!

Big hat, no cattle.  They ruin it all for the rest of us.  Inflation sucks.

New Audis and BMW are some of the WORST cars currently produced.  Pure garbage actually and have THE LOWEST value after one year.  Its pathetic really how shit they are.

All you gotta do is wait 3 years and OlympiaGym Audi can be had for 7200 dollars or less.  The price he wasted and does not even own the car.  Its hilarious really.

Actually, if you run someone over with your leased car the law considers you the "owner." Federal law protects the leasing companies from liability. Of course you can't sell a leased or financed car I assumed that was understood but I see you take things very literally

OMFFG,

His logic: "Uhhh, well I can run over someone in my car, be charged with it, so therefore I own the car".

What the actual fuck is that?   ???

ROFLMAO!

While we are at it, take a look at this list.  Look at all the BMW and Audis on that list.  Year after Year its the same with those two.  Bonafide pieces of shit.

http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/g556/10-hot-cars-that-depreciate-like-a-stock-market-crash/

Audis were great in the 80s, BMW has not made anything great since the early, early 90s.

Why are you taking your own financial decision so personal?

You were trying to bag on Vince for buying a car outright, which is about the most fiscally conservative thing one can do, as well as environmentally responsible.  No reason to throw away perfectly usable cars at all.  Cars that were better built than the garbage leases today that do nothing but cause inflation due to lack of ownership.

San Francisco is a good example of this.  You pay an arm and a leg to live like a termite in a box that you don't even own because nobody owns anything and the price is inflated as a result.  Its disgusting and not sustainable in the long run, unless you enjoy being a termite or a transient I suppose.

Anyways, why are you arguing in this manner?  You were trying to brag about leasing.  I just don't think its something to brag about really.

Leasing these days is so affordable, that anyone can just about lease a car.

Yep and it ruins it for people who would rather own because it drives inflation through the roof.

Same thing happened with houses and the whole housing crisis and it still remains.  Its a ridiculous practice really.

Driving an Audi or BMW or even a Lamborghini as these youtubers do for a year or month to month lease means absolutely nothing anymore.  It used to mean something.  Now any schmuck can pretty much be behind the wheel of a supercar or car that costs 5 times more than their house.

I don't see it as anything bad or special. I think Vince's cash purchase was a good one.

You aren't the owner. You are the authorized driver. They are not the same.

If you run someone over with your leased car you will be deemed the "owner" for purposes of a civil suit. Federal law protects the leasing companies from liability. Society is a little more sophisticated than you might imagine
