Imagine what he'd look like if he trained hard like Shawn Ray.

Imagine what he'd look like if he trained hard like Shawn Ray.

Or if he trained like Ronnie or Branch.

You have to be a total moron to believe Phil doesn't train hard.

At this point people are hating and now lying to feed their hate. Of course he trains hard. He has great genetics on top of but is flawed just like every single bodybuilder ever.

What's with people cussing and acting hardcore when they train? 10 reps to failure is no big deal.  After you hit failure in any given rep range it's not like you can train any harder. Bodybuilding style training is not difficult.

You sound like one of those pussy gym boys who uses a belt on the lat pull downs and think you are hard because you went to failure on legs extensions.

the only flaw kevin has is

-narrow clavicle
-small dick
-back genetics not up to mr olympia level either

except for this and obviously, his manlet height, he might be the most genetically blessed man in recorded history

the same.
Maybe not. Shawn didn't talk much to the camera between sets or during. He used a combo of free weights and machines, yet he was very intense (from vids) and strong. Using 150-180 pound Dumbbells for bench press. He seemed more old school than new school (drugs and training) and it showed in his physique. If Phil took the same approach to everything, his physique may loose the bloofy look and have more striations and detail. He possibly would look like a bigger version of his rookie self.

His training is uninspiring. Haney didn't do stupid lifting like Ronnie and branch  but he at least looked interested and engaged. Phil looks lole those guys that holler and shout when doing curls on the machines.

I don't think I'm "hard" for going to failure on any exercise. Going to failure on any exercise within the typical bodybuilding rep range is not difficult.  That's the whole point that I was making.  Stop trying to argue for the sake of arguing, it's unintelligent.

its not the point

its about bragging how hard you train when you train purely on machines. I understand the logic behind it but dont pretend you work harder than anyone else when it boils down 80% to genetics.

The FST7 stuff is quite hard. The buildup of lactic acid is nauseating and painful. It is not the same kind of "hard" as in the Branch Warren suicidal training approach, but still hard.

I find Phil Heath's training interesting in that it seems intelligent with regard to the purpose, while Branch Warren comes across as a macho retard.
