Great Getbig stuff in this thread. As soon as there is the slightest suspicion that someone screwed up, many of you pile on. If you believe shit doesn't happen in one of the world's most crime ridden cities, you are incredibly naive.
It definitely appears that the swimmers created a problem for themselves at the gas station in their likely drunken state. While Ryan fingered the police in his statements to the press, none of these swimmers made a false police report. Laws are different wherever you go. Maybe lying to the media in Brazil constitutes a punishable crime.
Lucky for Ryan that he got the hell "outta dodge" before the authorities could seize his passport. Too bad for his teammates that they didn't. At this point, it appears someone is going to pay and it will not be the Rio police. When in Rome.....
Can you even begin to imagine how fucked (literally) Ryan would be if he ended up in a Brazilian jail? Honestly, with his bleached hair and pretty, but also smug face, his asshole wouldn't survive for a day.
I'm still out on this one..... Let's see what happens over the next week or so before drawing any conclusions.
