It is a straight up embarrassment to be paying pretty much any amount of money for someone to sign something.
I don't begrudge people doing it, but I do feel incredibly sorry for them that they would lower themselves to rating their time earning that money so low. I think as soon as you do that, you're fucked - you're excepting mediocrity.
There are exceptions of course.. things like gestures for kids, where you're just doing something extraordinary but not if you're a regular person with a decent head on your shoulders and you're just saying "I worked an 1-20 hours for this money and now you can have it for a 30 second encounter" with someone.. not good.
I'm sure many of these actors are very nice people but there is no way in my mind that Chris Evans isn't an utter asshole for pulling 350k for signing pieces of paper for people. To me that is an incredible exploitation. I mean, why 350K? who the fuck needs to pull 350k from people with regular jobs in a weekend? You half your price and you still walk away with 175k and literally thousands of man hours are saved of people's time.
Everybody has the right to earn a living but this is unique situation where people who are in a privileged position are directly fucking their fans. Has beens are less wrong in my mind (ie typecast Star Trek actors) - but when true A list stars doing this shit.. fucking assholes - end of story. I can't think of ANY sporting star who charges to write their name on a piece of paper. Just actors

Just my 2 cents.
