He doesn't "owe" her a living, but if she has been a partner in said business, he can not just pretend like she isn't involved anymore. You can't just oust an equal partner because you're pissed at them.

Considering they were married, the business is both of theirs until a judge adjudicates otherwise.

Also, if they were incorporated of course, there is even more paperwork to dissolve a partnership. You can't just say, I am mad, so you can't get paid anymore.

These are valid points. It's possible that it was being run under Blackstone - " let's see if it goes, if so we will incorporate as a separate entity . . . " so, Blackstone would control everything and an auditor would be needed. She probably has the cash in her pocket and a personal card or two . . .
