Actually, at that contest they were no comparison at all between Yates and Ronnie, the gap was very wide.

As I recall the only comparison between them happened in the 1996 Grand Prix.
I rest my case now.

Amazing Quality & Dryness on all of those competitors
Compared to the soft Glazed look of Mr Olympia’s of the last 10 or so years.
How much lighter & smaller today’s so called “monsters” would be to match that
Level of Quality & Dryness.

He thought Dorian had left it a bit late where his low lat looks soft at the beginning, then it all flexed and it was his lats not fat

A good argument could be made for the best of all time. He had dense muscle and none of the water bloat muscles you see today.

Honestly don't think there's any doubt about Dorian being the GOAT. 28 years later and the 1993 Mr. Olympia version of Dorian is still the best ever.

Coleman was a freak and no one carried as much pure muscle mass as he did, but when all factors are taken into consideration 1993 Dorian is the absolute peak in modern bodybuilding thus far.

100 percent. Sports been in recess ever since that day, including Dorians other wins. 93 was something else.

Dorian was never a naturally big guy. Just look at him in 1984 when he was (supposedly) natural and trained for only a year using traditional methods, not hit. Aesthetically pleasing yes but big no. Bodybuilders like Victor Richards and Bertil Fox were bigger than Yates in their first year of training. Yates was a walking pharmaceutical experiment. He was highly responsive to the enormous amounts of juice he was on that got him big. It also took Yates 10 years to get to peak size while Arnold and Co it only took them only 5 years give or take. Even with all that rest and recuperation Yates goes on about it took him longer than others to get big.
