If you actually watch his blood and guts vid he didn't even train that hard. On some exercises he didn't even go to failure. I thought this was suppose to be hit while in fact its nothing like it. No triple drop sets, no rest pauses, no static sets, etc.
If you saw the average gym rat training like Yates you'd think nothing of it.
The fact is he was taking so much juice he didn't need to do as much training he was a hyper responder.
He dieted no different than most.
Yates was literally on a bucket full of juice a year in his Olympia years.
March 1993:
Rmj11 stood in line for hours at the 1993 FIBO to meet his hero — Dorian Yates. His goal: to obtain a signed Dorian Yates 8x10 photograph.
At the 1993 FIBO; Rmj11 sported a mustache as a tribute to Mike Mentzer. Like Mike, Rmj11 was still
FUMING about the 1980 Mr Olympia controversy.
As he waited in line, Rmj11 repeatedly told himself: “1980 was Mentzer’s year. Mentzer was robbed”. 1980 was all that Rmj11 had thought about, day and night. It had consumed him. Rmj11 wanted to ask Dorian how to get some sort of justice for Mentzer.
When Rmj11 finally spoke to Dorian, he realized that Dorian had already sold all of his photographs. The 8x10’s were gone. To add insult to injury; Dorian did not seem to care about the 1980 Olympia. Rmj11 was not happy, and he left the 1993 FIBO heartbroken.
February 2023:
Rmj11 is still heartbroken. He has formed an irrational vendetta against Yates. He considers Yates to be nothing more than a juiced up gym rat.
