Nine Olympia wins won't make his clavicles any wider.
Having more Olympia wins does not make one "better." If you think Lee Haney or Ronnie Coleman are better than Arnold because he has one more Sandow, you're smoking some crazy back-alley doobs. Remember, Arnold only has seven because he chose to retire and move on to bigger things. '76-'79 were his is he chose to compete, and so were '81-'83 for that matter. So that's 14 he could have won easily without the slightest hint of real competition. Reasonably, he could have kept going and beaten Lee Haney until the gut monsters showed up in the 90's and judges replaced by schmoes, so it's fair to say that he would have had 20+ Sandows if he were into that. Winning a bodybuilding show twenty times just makes someone a D-list celebrity only known really by people in the subculture, just like any other Mr. Olympia today. He chose (reasonably) to move on from bodybuilding contests and become one of the most famous people alive, but rest assured, his GOAT status in bodybuilding is pretty much untouchable. If he had won those Sandows, I doubt very many people today would even know who he is, and bodybuilding would already be dead by now, or just extremely obscure like women's bodybuilding. If Phil wins 10 or 15, his decision to keep dedicating his life a thong show well after he already made his point instead of leveraging his celebrity to achieve real greatness will reflect poorly on him.
