I went to nationals and competed at a tiny 172 being my lightest ever. I'm 5'10" and could of been up to 192. Now I can be 202... if I can get there.

Interesting to note that a friend weighed in for a Classic contest here in LV this past Friday but failed to meet the ht/wt requirements under the old "formula' but would have been eligible under the new 'formula'.

Many fans in attendance felt that he would have won the overall if he had weighed in on November 7.

Your input would be appreciated and hopefully discused intelligently by the GetBig intelligensia who sometimes fail to see the the potential growth and popularity of this new competition.

Maybe it would be better if they introduced waist size limits with height. Actual measurements though, not like Cutler's "36 inch" (give ~~or take~~ 10) waist.

Is this only for the pros? Or does this include the amateurs as well? From what I understand there's a difference in height-to-weight ratios between pros and amateurs. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Numbers seem odd. By that logic Mike Mentzer at 225lbs at 5'8" would be grossly over the weight limit. Was he not a classic physique?

I think the changes are positive, I hope this division eventually takes over the sport, would reduce the all drugs attitude and make people have to work a lot smarted rather than just upping the dose.

But does it just mean that the shitty judges reward as much mass as possible shoved onto the lightest bones possible? Which in a way is Phil Heath all over again.

WANNABE, GOOD observation. It does appear that the notice of the Classic wt/ht changes was addressed to the "IFBB PRO athletes, judge's, and officials" with no mention regarding any classic amateur changes , so you may be correct .... or else it was an oversight which may be clarified shortly.
