not hit really. he was pushing the "bulgarian" system. basically working out several times a day doing short but intense workouts. ( oh and lots of drugs oops i meant supplements) lol he was trying to 'sell " a system just like mentzer was trying to sell a system. just trying to make money off gullable people.
I remember his Bulgarian training vids. Watching him struggle to squat 405 for a few reps was an Eye-opener

Now, sometime later, he did at least *write* about doing very, very low volume training -- something like doing one hard set/body part maybe thrice weekly -- but it didn't seem like he was promoting that. He actually called his method "lazy" and said he'd need to step it up if he was to do well in the pro ranks.
Sometime later still, he was fond of at least three sets of at least one exercise per part (maybe more?), but his gimmick was to do a set of 4-6, another 8-12, and a final one 15-upwards of 20 (or more; my memory is already failing me, no shit). I could write the broscience article behind that rather easily, even if my editor told me I needed to sneak some product placement in there.
No kidding: I swear to all of you, if I did ghost write articles, I bet I could be so much more subtle, and also much more convincing, in promoting bullshit than a great many. You don't even need a great bodybuilders to push crap: witness the success Muscletech enjoyed by hyping Kovacs (may he RIP in his giant coffin).
Meh. I reckon I missed my calling
