For some odd reason you left off the pic of Obama beside Trump( from the link) Wink
I believe a DECADE = 10 years and they were referring to the 2010-2020 .
Obama was President for the first 6+ years and Trump's been there for the past 3.

In fact when you look at the Dow Jones chart, the market has shown the same +slope increase
since Jan 2009 when Obama took office. To Trump's credit that same slope has been maintained since he took office.
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/%5EDJI?ltr=1

US Presidents can't be in office for a decade, at most eight years.  So your point is mute.  The best US economy in history happened on Trump's watch, not Obama's.  It didn't even happen at the beginning of Trump's first term, but toward the end to make it even more clear this had little to nothing to do with Obama.

To support your claim, maybe you can answer this, since AbrahamG refused to:

How exactly did Obama manage "saving/restoring the economy"?

And if Obama's economy was so great, then why did the Federal Reserve cut the fed funds rate to effectively zero, and kept it there for Obama's two terms in office, as it tried to help revive the economy?  Since Trump was elected, the Federal Reserve has raised rates 8 times.

Obama was fortunate that his term started with a rock bottom bear market, and had no other place to go but upward.  Historically, bear markets have lasted 1.3 years on average.

Bull markets have lasted 6.6 years on average.  Trump's term started with a bull market already very high and overdue for correction.  Not only has Trump managed to keep it from ending, but this has been the longest running bull market in history and it has gone to all time highs on his watch.

At this point, it's embarrassing for Obama supporters to even attempt to compare his economy to Trump's.

Jan 2009 - Dec 2016 DJ avg went from a rock bottom sub 8000 to aprox 20,000.
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/%5EDJI?ltr=1

1. open link, look at graph ( dates above)
2. see the steady upward trend of the line
3. That means the market steadily grew during that time

Understand? Cheesy

This only supports my point, not yours.  As expected, you refuse to answer my questions above.  You are either being coy, or you really just don't get it.

The US economy that Obama inherited had hit rock bottom and was due for a recovery, and the Federal Reserve cut the fed funds rate to effectively zero, and kept it there for Obama's two terms in office, as it tried to help revive the economy.  Since Trump was elected, the Federal Reserve has raised rates 8 times.

Trump, unlike Obama, inherited an economy that was due for a recession, but that never happened.  Against all odds, the US has had the longest running bull market in history, the first decade in US history without a recession, closing the decade with the year when almost all investments were profitable.   All of this on Trump's watch.

Like I said, at this point it's embarrassing for Obama supporters to even attempt to compare his economy to Trump's.

Here's what the loser your mom told you to vote for had to say about this:

POLL: Trump Gets 7-Point Swing After Impeachment Inquiry, Dominates With Independents

A new Monmouth poll released Tuesday showed only good news for President Donald Trump.

The president, fighting off the Democrats’ hyper-partisan efforts to impeach him, received a seven-point swing in his favor concerning the 2020 election. Trump also cleaned up with Independents, polling double-digits higher than any of the Democratic presidential candidates looking to take him out in 2020.

Journalists and author Ryan Girdusky reported on the Monmouth polling Tuesday morning. When participants were asked if Trump should be re-elected to the White House, Trump received a seven-point swing in his favor after the impeachment inquiry; the “no” answer to re-election dropped three points and the “yes” answer climbed four points.

The impeachment inquiry moved the numbers in Trump's favor by 7 points according to Monmouth polling

    — Ryan James Girdusky (@RyanGirdusky) December 10, 2019

Trump’s favorable rating was also higher than his Democratic challengers by at least three points, though former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and South Bend, Indiana Mayor Peter Buttigieg (D), had lower unfavorable ratings, per Girdusky:

2020 candidates (favorable/unfavorable):

Trump: 46/52

Biden: 43/50

Sanders: 41/54

Warren: 40/50

Buttigieg: 34/35

Bloomberg: 26/54

Trump cleaned up with Independents, polling double-digits higher in his favorables than socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Biden, Buttigieg, Warren, and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

You can spin this any way you want, but the slope on the DJ avg graph doesn't lie.

LOL...the only one spinning this one is you.  Nothing you post has any credibility.  You voted for loser Hillary and then threw your own dying mother under the bus, blaming her for your decision.  Pathetic.

It’s funny how liberals talk about the Obama economy and never mention that it was entirely propped up by the $12 TRILLION DOLLARS he added to the national debt in eight years.

Typical Trumper,  ridicules my dead mother . You're pathetic.

You know very well that I ridiculed neither your dead mother nor your vote for Hillary.

What I did was point out how you threw your own dead mother under the bus, blaming her for your decision to vote for loser Hillary, which makes you a pathetic human being.

Your posts are still here, and can be easily bumped as they have a couple of times in the past.  You think you deleted all of them, but plenty here quoted you throwing your dead mother under the bus instead of taking responsibility for your own actions.

At least the rest of the liberals on this board own up to their decision to vote for Hillary, and seem proud of it.

If you think Biden can beat Trump...well I'm just not sure how that would happen when the guy can't get through one thought.

He is the Mr. Magoo of politics -  to the point I feel sorry for him. He has no platform. None. I don't think he even understand your party's voters under say age 40.

Transforming the 9th Circuit before our very eyes.

Trump secures 50th appellate court appointment, with another 9th Circuit judge confirmed

The Republican-controlled Senate on Wednesday afternoon confirmed Lawrence VanDyke to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, marking President Trump's 50th successful appellate court appointment in just three years in office, and his second to the historically liberal 9th Circuit in as many days.

By contrast, President Barack Obama nominated a total of 55 circuit judges who were confirmed over eight years -- and Obama's nominees were, on average, approximately ten years older. The White House has dramatically transformed the 9th Circuit, a powerful court with jurisdiction over nine states and Guam that has long been a thorn in the president's side.

Of the 30 active seats on the 9th Circuit, 10 have now been appointed by Trump, and 14 by Republican presidents. Only nine of the court's 19 semi-retired "senior status" judges were appointed by Democrats, with 10 by Republicans. That's a major change from early last year, when only six of the active judges on the 9th Circuit were chosen by Republicans.

"FIFTY CIRCUIT COURT JUDGES!" tweeted Carrie Severino, the conservative Judicial Crisis Network's chief counsel and policy director. "Despite unrelenting Democratic obstruction and smear campaigns," she wrote, Trump and his Senate allies "have answered the call of the American people."

VanDyke's confirmation, by a 51-44 vote, came just 24 hours after Patrick Bumatay, an openly gay Filipino man, was also seated on the San Francisco-based 9th Circuit. Both nominees were fiercely opposed by Democrats, including the senators from their home states -- Nevada Sens. Jacky Rosen and Catherine Cortez Masto for VanDyke, and California Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris for Bumatay.

I didn't vote for Trump because I think he's a rude buffoon.

That's not what you posted originally.  You said you voted for Hillary because your dying mother told you to.  Stop lying.

God forbid, you ever have to deal with a serious illness and death of a loved one.

Who says I haven't already?  I have, multiple times, you self-righteous SOB.

I'll tell you what I don't do.  I don't throw my dead loved ones under the bus and blame them for my actions, as you did with your mother.

Oh well, I tried to find common ground between us.
Nothing else to say at this point.

Common ground?  By lying?  By assuming I've never experienced serous illness and death of loved ones?  By continue to accuse me and other members of ridiculing your dead mother, which never happened?

My very next line was * "Perhaps some here have already dealt with this. if so, you understand."

You're offended that anyone like me would assume you never dealt with that pain.

How ironic that you feel justified to post about me throwing my dead mom , under the bus.

I'm NOT trying to bust your balls here.

I'm simply pointing out that a few , deeply personal topics, should be left off limits and out of politics.
In the end , we all grieve for lost loved ones and want the best in life.
Let's agree to respect each others common humanity as we vigorously debate politics.
Thanks!

LOL...I'm not offended, least of all by you.

Didn't you just say there was nothing else to say?  Oh yeah, you're the same clown who keeps promising to leave Gegbig for good, but keeps coming back.

And if serious illness and death of loved ones is off limits, then why did you bring up your own dead mother to blame her for your decision to vote for Hillary?

Yep.  Always a drama queen.  Repeatedly lying about leaving.  If someone is going to go, they just go.  He's just begging for attention.

In that spirit, I've decided to limit my politics to one show/program per day .
I  recently decided to cut back on posting new topic threads* on this forum.

It was a mistake to think I could share a personal experience on this kind of forum.
I've often posted , the main reason I didn't vote for Trump, is because he's a  man-child buffoon.

No.  It was a mistake for you to think that coming here and blaming your own dead mother for your decision to vote for loser Hillary was acceptable and that nobody would call you on it.

Only after you got backlash here for blaming you own dead mother for your decision to vote for loser Hillary.
