For decades  Republican voters wanted a a social and fiscal conservative president who waited his turn to run.
In 2016, Mr Trump knew that Republican voters didnt give a fuck.... they wanted a wild entertainer asap

The GOP thought it was a formidable, disciplined restraining force  but Mr Trump knew it was weak and pliable

Forever and a day  conservatives claimed they cared about frugal spending, small government, free trade, and strong foreign policy. Mr. Trump knew they only cared about owning the libs

Voters used to like and reward presidents who passed legislation and talked about the future instead of complaining about the past. Whereas Biddy Biden has passed lots of popular bills (some bipartisan) Mr Trump knows most  voters don't care .
Trump understands that American politics is about performance and attention seeking

Mr. Trump was right about the politics of Covid, people cared more about the economy than the deaths.

"Certainly a bigger crowd than I think Democrats would like to see, particularly given this is one of the bluest counties in the entire country," Holmes said when asked what the energy was like at the rally.

Trump rallied a crowd of what his campaign estimated to be 25,000 supporters on Thursday, far more than the initial 3,500 it said were expected to attend. Those numbers appeared to also include those lined up outside the event – who waited hours for a shot at getting inside even after the event began.
