First they accuse and prosecute Trump and now they complain that Trump's trials are taking up the whole news cycle? And their solution is to set up this whole DeNiro stunt.

But I do think it would be good if all those folks Trump shat over the years on would speak up now. However, now the original question still stands, why would the Biden campaign think this was a good idea?  It's not like Robert DeNiro is going to sway undecideds, and the location really adds more politics  to a trial that is not supposed to be about politics, and only compounds the common view that this is lawfare.

If Biden really wanted to do a baller move, he'd pardon Trump instantly if convicted.  That would actually help him more than having a washed up bitter old hollywood fool speak on his behalf.  It would show no tolerance for politicizing the judicial system, which would actually get him votes.

So, since nobody wants to answer my question, I will post what I read today from Ben Shapiro.  I know it will be dismissed by the left because of the source, but he literally said the exact same thing I was thinking........basicall y, why would the Biden admin think there could be undecided voters who could be swayed by.......Robert DeNiro?

Remember, it was considered wildly unpresidential for Trump to sound off on his own trial, where he is currently being tried in court. That was considered out of bounds. How dare he attack the justice system? How dare he intervene in the justice system? Meanwhile, Biden, the actual president of the United States, whose DOJ is presiding over multiple cases against his political opponent, is deploying his campaign to stand outside the courtroom in New York.

That’s not only unprecedented; it’s nuts.

It would be nuts enough if he deployed lawyers from his campaign to explain the case in front of the courtroom. That would obviously be deeply problematic considering the president of the United States acts, essentially, as the chief law enforcement officer in the land because he presides over the attorney general who presides over the DOJ. Biden deploying his own legal team outside the courtroom to rip on his political opponent in the middle of a trial is insane.

That’s crazy, but then it got crazier.

They didn’t just deploy some campaign lawyer to explain the case against Trump. They deployed a celebrity to go outside the trial and hold an event. That is a desperate move.

Who did they trot out on Tuesday? Apparently, they decided to be nimble and creative and trot out the Raging Bulls****er himself, Robert De Niro.

Honestly, I don’t know who came up with this idea. This is one of the stupidest political ideas I have ever seen in my entire life.

The idea of the Biden campaign apparently was, “We have an unpopular 81-year-old incumbent who falls down a lot and babbles nonsensically. What if we get someone to defend him outside the courtroom where his political opponent is being tried on political grounds? What if we get an 80-year old, half-senile, doddering old man who recently fathered a small baby? Who do we have? That guy.”

And he’s an actor to boot.

He’s crazy enough that he spent the last several years going on random TV shows shouting “F Trump!” This is a man who has the credibility of the American people behind him. This is a man who has gravitas.

The news media also reported that the Biden campaign did not do Biden any favors by having DeNiro speak outside the courthouse. Former Capitol police officers, Harry Dunn and Michael Fanone speaking about the dangers of electing Trump would have been a better move, because they were victims of Trump's actions on January 6, 2021, and have a legitimate gripe.

DeNiro may not be as 'washed up' as you suggest. At age 80 he does not appear to be slowing down. He has acted in at least seventeen movies since 2016 and produced several others. He earned somewhere between $8 and $20 million for his role in Killers of the flower Moon. He currently has four films in production Tin Soldier, Alto Knights and After Exile, Mr. Natural. Alto Knights is scheduled for release in 2025. His estimated net worth is  $500 million.

Most folks would consider themselves extremely lucky to be as 'washed up' as DeNiro. LOL!
